About Capacity Accelerator Program

The Capacity Accelerator Program (CAP) aims to transform care practices in Child Care Institutions (CCIs), by addressing the severe limitations in funding, access to expertise and contextualized support that they face.

About the Role

To define the quality of care, we have developed in-house standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which serve as a benchmark for hiqh quality inputs to achieve outcomes. We are currently looking for instructional designers who can edit and update the SOPs for readability and user friendliness, as well as create training modules (session plans, decks, resources)based on the SOPs by incorporating instructional design and adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design CCI leader facing training material (session plans, decks, resources, handouts etc), standard operational procedures (manuals, job aids), policies that align with the objectives of the standards.
  • Create engaging adult learning centric activities and compelling content as part of the trainings
  • Incorporating adult learning principles and strategies to make the training material relevant and effective.
  • Develop assessment instruments to evaluate trainee’s takeaways
  • Submit grammatically correct, error free deliverables as per the decided timelines.
  • Incorporate at least 2 rounds of feedback as per organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team of illustrators, content writers and the team at Guardians to ensure consistency and alignment in training material.
  • Attend meetings with the team for feedback and alignment calls, wherever necessary.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in any discipline
  • Written language proficiency in English to communicate technical information in an engaging, simple and user-friendly manner
  • 2-3 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, adult learning and training
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, curriculum framework and session design skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 or Google Suite and visual design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in subjects related to Instructional Design, Adult Learning or from a similar field
  • Prior work experience in adult learning and training
